Ph.D. student Christoffer Tyrsted has returned to AU after a 6½ month stay at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he visited prof. Mercouri Kanatzidis and his group.

During his stay, Christoffer worked on the solid state synthesis of cesium tin halides in order to understand the optical and electrical properties of these materials, which have potential uses in solar voltaics.

The competences acquired during the stay will complement his work on synthesis procedures used in the CMC home labs.
