CMC achievements communicated in popular science press
The November edition of the Danish popular science magazine "Aktuel Naturvidenskab" featured a comprehensive story on materials crystallography and CMC activities. Headlined "Crystallography - The Chemist's Rediscovered Tool", the article was made the cover story of the edition.
Written for an audience which includes 2nd grade high school students, the article initially describes the basics of crystallography, its uses, applicability, instruments and physical origins. Subsequently, it presents a selection of the ambitions and achievements of the Center for Materials Crystallography, including in situ studies of nanoparticle formation, total-scattering, high-pressure crystallography and vacuum-diffractometry.
