Ph.d. student Yanbin Shen from CMC (Aarhus University) receives the Young Investigator Award at the 16th International Meeting on Lithium Batteries 2012 in Jeju, Korea, for “outstanding scientific research and excellent poster presentation”.
Her poster was co-authored with Jakob R. Eltzholtz and Bo Brummerstedt Iversen and entitled “Size controlled Li4Ti5O12 nanocrystals synthesized in a continuous pulsed flow reactor”. The abstract can be found here.
Yanbin’s poster was one of about 1,270 posters that were presented at the IMLB 2012.
The award is presented to young scientists younger than 35 years of age. An Award Subcommittee comprised of 22 experts vote amongst 96 chosen applicants. The 96 applicants are required to give a 5 minute oral explanation to a single reviewer of the Award Subcommittee in front of the poster boards. Two reviewers are involved in the evaluation of the posters: One during the oral explanation and another reviewing only the poster. The research results are finally reviewed twice by the Award Subcommittee.
Yanbin Shen won the Young Investigator Award 2012 along with 11 other young scientists from 9 different countries.
