Danish Courses in Aarhus
Lær Dansk and the municipality of Aarhus offer full semester Danish courses starting in September and February.
The full semester courses are offered in cooperation with Lær Dansk and the municipality of Aarhus. The courses start in the begining of February and September. This course is for those who are interesed in learning and using the Danish language in their everyday life.
The courses are free of charge.
You can expect:
- 2 x 2 lessons per week
- late afternoon or early evening
- at Aarhus University
- modern materials
- experienced language teachers
The course takes place 2 x 2 lessons per week in the late afternoon or early evening. The classes will be held at Aarhus University. You will be provided with modern materials and LærDansk only has professional and experienced language teachers. Therefore it is expected that you show up for all classes prepared and willing to participate.
Module system
The course is devided into six modules. You fill finish each module with an obligatory test. The test will be written and you must pass this one before you can progress to the next level. This will be "level B" and if you are interested you can take this as an ordinary course at LærDansk Aarhus, Vestergade 72, 8000 Aarhus C.

Beginner courses start on 15 September, 2014.
Intermediate learner courses begin on 18 August, 2014.

The Municipality of Aarhus require you to obtain a referral (henvisning) from them in order to start Danish lessons. Therefore you must contact Jobcenter Aarhus, to get a referral for Danish classes. You can contact them in two ways: either send them an email to Tove Sørensen, or show up in person at Jobcenter Aarhus:
- Address: Værkmestergade 3-5 1st floor, 8000 Aarhus C
- Opening hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 to 15:00 and Thursday 8:00 to 17:00
You should bring the following documents:
- CPR number
- A copy of your residence permit (non-EU Citizens only)
- Completed Entry Form for Danish Classes
When Lærdansk Aarhus receives the referral from Jobcenter Aarhus you will be contacted by them in order to start your Danish tuition.
