Euroscience Open Forum 2014 (ESOF2014)
ESOF 2014, Europe's largest general science conference, will take place on 21–26 June 2014 in Copenhagen.
The European Science Forum offers PhD students the opportunity to showcase their research and connect with policymakers, research foundations, industry, media and other stakeholders from the international research and higher education sector.
We encourage all researchers to use this opportunity and take advantage of the fact that this year ESOF is being held in Denmark. AU has a limited number of free entry passes to the conference that can be given to researchers at the university.
Background
ESOF is built around a classical conference concept with three program tracks: a scientific track, a career track and a science to business track.
Aarhus University has a tradition of being present at ESOF conferences with a delegation of researchers from various fields and a stand in the exhibition area of the conference. Aarhus University already has a strong representation in the official programme with several research projects. Furthermore we have booked a stand in the exhibition area with the purpose to present Aarhus University as a strong destination to pursue a research career by presenting examples of research and the career opportunities at AU.
This year ESOF will also organize a large science festival – Science in the City – in conjunction to the main conference where Aarhus University will be represented to showcase and demonstrate research projects to a wider audience.
AU has a limited number of free entry passes to the conference that can be given to researchers at the university. These are handed out on a first-come-first-served basis.
Registration
If you would like to participate, please send an email to Peter Damgaard Kristensen, AU Research and Talent, no later than Monday, the 5th of May 2014. In return for the free ticket, we ask that you will be present at the AU exhibition stand a few hours during the conference for networking and answering questions from researchers interested in collaboration with Aarhus University.
