Post doc Hao Yin has returned to Aarhus University after a two-month stay at Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SICCAS), where he visited prof. Lidong Chen and his thermoelectric materials group.

During the period he has been involved in the solid state synthesis of Cu_2-xSe, which has novel properties as, fx a thermoelectric material. A structural study of the compound was carried out using synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction.

The communication strengthened the collaboration between AU and SICCAS, not only within fields of common interest, but also opened up a new horizon of materials crystallography.
