Tuesday 9^th of April a crew of 4 German technicians began installing the new ultra-high pressure laboratory press which was purchased for CMC by mid-2012. The press is central to the research of CMC ass. prof. Martin Bremholm who will use it, alongside CMC students, for pressure-assisted syntheses of novel materials. The field of high-pressure chemistry is rapidly growing world-wide and will now be fully realized in Denmark for the first time, complementing CMC efforts on high-pressure crystallography by means of Diamond Anvil Cells.
