Kasper Andersen Borup back from California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in USA
Visit to the Snyder group
Ph.d. student Kasper Andersen Borup has returned from a three-week stay with Dr. G. Jeffrey Snyder's group at California Institute of Technology (Caltech).
The aim of the stay was to finish a publication on the high temperature combined Hall effect and resistivity systems at Caltech and Aarhus University. Kasper has constructed the setup in Aarhus as part of his ph.d.
The setup enables focused research in thermoelectrics and other disciplines involving doped semiconductors. Work has now been undertaken to extend the method and setup to measurement of the Hall effect and resistivity on anisotropic samples, both single crystals and polycrystalline solids (powders).
If you want to know more about the setup see here.
