Morten Schulz Nielsen back from Imperial College London (London, UK)

Visit to the John deMello Group

Ph.D. student Morten Schulz Nielsen has spent six months visiting the group of prof. John deMello at Imperial College London.

During this visit, Morten has been working with a droplet flow reactor, performing synthesis of CdSe quantum dots which have use in light emitting diodes and solar cells.

The project aimed at producing quantum dots effectively and also at capping these inside the flow reactor. The experience acquired during the stay will be used to build a CMC version of the reactor and complement Morten's work on the synthesis of various nanoparticles.
