Innovation Fund Denmark has opened a new call for Global Research Collaborations, supporting Danish research institutions in partnerships with Canada, Japan or the Republic of Korea. The call includes funding opportunities within space technologies

Innovation Fund Denmark has opened the call for Global Research Collaborations, supporting ambitious research and technology collaborations between Danish research institutions and partners in Canada, Japan or the Republic of Korea.

The call focuses on three strategic technology areas: biosolutions, quantum technologies and space technologies. Within space technologies, funding may support projects that strengthen Danish space research and innovation, for example in space-based green solutions, climate and environmental monitoring, quantum and space-based communication, defence and security, and the use of space data combined with AI, digital twins and supercomputers.

The programme has a total budget of minimum DKK 49 million. Danish research institutions must act as the main applicant, and Innovation Fund Denmark invests DKK 2–8 million per project, with a maximum investment rate of up to 90% of the total project budget. Projects can run for 2–4 years.

The application deadline is 3 September 2026 at 12:00 noon CET.
