CMC is procuring a new glove-box system and a vacuum-oven specifically for the handling of materials for Li-ion batteries. We are currently studying the compounds LiFePO4, LiFe(1-x)MnxPO4, Li4Ti5O12 and LiMn2O4, and plan to continue with other materials which are also able to intercalate Li during reduction/oxidation of the transition metal. Both systems will be installed primo September 2012.
