New Super-Nova diffractometer to CMC

Measurements on very small crystals

CMC is procuring a new SuperNova single-crystal diffractometer. The single-crystal method is used for unravelling unknown crystal structures "from scratch".

The instrument features a micro-focus X-ray source which enables measurements on very small crystals.

This is highly useful since many materials are exceedingly difficult to grow into "large" crystals.

As such, CMC is broadening the range of accessible materials immensely.
