CMC and assoc. prof. Torben Jensen is procuring a new TG-MS system for studying the degassing behaviour of metal-hydrides upon heating.

The TG-system is designed to fit inside a glove-box, with the MS-part residing outside.

This will allow optimal analysis of the hydrides which are often very air- and moisture sensitive, and are therefore exclusively handled in a controlled atmosphere.

The system will be installed in the late summer 2012.
