Profile: Nina Lock - Postdoc in Göttingen, Germany
On April 10th 2012, Ph.D. graduate Nina Lock started working as a postdoc at CMC Göttingen under Prof. Dietmar Stalke at Georg-August-Universität. Nina Lock graduated from Aarhus University and was here supervised by prof. Bo Brummerstedt Iversen (CMC Aarhus). During the year which has elapsed since then, Nina has been working with synthesis of molecular selenium-nitrogen compounds using Schlenk-line techniques and studies the products using single crystal diffraction. The research has greatly improved her knowledge on synthesizing and handling air sensitive compounds and on designing molecular materials, all of which is special expertise of CMC Göttingen. This complements the former work at CMC Aarhus on synthesis and diffraction studies of metal-organic framework and ceramic nanoparticles.
Nina’s postdoc scholarship is fundet by the Villum Foundation, and she will stay in Göttingen for a total of two years.
