Ph.d. student Sofie Kastbjerg has returned to Aarhus University after a three-month stay at University of Western Australia, Perth, Australia (UWA), where she visited CMC prof. Mark Spackman and his group.

During her stay, Sofie continued work on crystallography and charge densities in lead chalcogenides, which have interesting thermoelectric properties. She also interacted in discussions concerning chemical bonding and crystallography in general.

Sofie and Mark Spackman have previously worked together on the project “Chemical bonding in Zintl phases via atomic Hirschfeld surfaces”.
