The 2012 Danish Young NMR Research Prize goes to iNANO PhD Student Lasse Arnt Straassø
one day after his PhD defense
Lasse Arnt Strassø was awarded the 2012 Danish Young NMR Researcher Prize at the the yearly NMR symposium taking place the Carlsberg Laboratory, one day after hid PhD defense. Lasse Arnt Strassø outstanding contribution to the development of advanced solid-state NMR methods to measure internuclear distances with high precision was what got him this important prize. The methods he studied in the group of Prof. Niels Chr. Nielsen, at the Center for Insoluble Protein Structures (inSPIN) found at iNANO and the Department of Chemistry (Aarhus University) have a great potential to improve the resolution of protein structures determined by solid-state NMR spectroscopy.
